Stretch-tris
Stretch-tris was made for the 2024 GMTK Game Jam. The theme was "Built to Scale," so the boys at Systems in Play built a Tetris game where you can scale your tetrominos. The game can be played with either a gamepad or keyboard. The idea here is that you get a stretch powerup every time you clear a line. Touch this powerup with a tetromino to stretch it along the axis of the powerup! This powerup scales with the amount of lines you clear, and only affects the first piece(s) of the block to touch it. There's a nice easter egg for anyone that can use the stretch mechanic to score higher than a tetris (4 lines). Good luck stretch-tris-ing!
Did you know that each tetromino has a name? My favorite is Orange Ricky, which one is your favorite? Catch our devlog and more random gaming facts (and farces) releasing the Friday after the jam on the Systems in Play podcast.
